This edition of functional historically-inspired bottles and shaped clay panels are intricately decorated with china paints and lusters in a style reminiscent of religious medieval illuminated manuscripts.

Combining personal narrative with historical and religious heritage helps me grapple with the human condition and religion’s place within it.

I create composites of images, patterns, mythology, and text to carefully ornament these vessels and panels. Glazed and richly illustrated, each of these objects takes on an almost fantastical aura of a historical artifact.
